Dr. McDonald received his doctorate of dental surgery (D.D.S.) at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and his Bachelors at Northern Michigan University. While at Detroit Mercy, he received the Delta Dental Foundation Community Commitment Award. Upon graduation, it was an easy decision to move back to Southwest Michigan where both he and his wife are originally from. After working in community health and private practice, Dr. McDonald started Woods Lake Dental in September of 2022.
Dr. McDonald is a life-long learner and is passionate about finding the best methods for excellent dental health care and ensuring patient comfort. He is a member of Michigan Dental Association, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the Kalamazoo Valley District Dental Society.
When he’s not at Woods Lake Dental, Dr. McDonald enjoys being with his wife and two young children and their dog, Rosa. As a family they love watching college hockey, fishing, camping, and skating on their backyard ice rink!
